Good Samaritan Inn – Our church takes cookies to the Good Samaritan Inn the 4th Wednesday of each month. We ask that those be brought to the church by the Sunday before.
UM Men raise funds for missions. Meetings are held the third Saturday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at Forsyth United Methodist Church with our sister church, Maroa United Methodist Church. They hold an Annual Pancake & Sausage Breakfast and joint church picnic.
Stamp Ministry – a collection bin for cancelled stamps is on the table in the narthex. Please leave a 1/2″ margin around the stamps. Edna Bragg collects the stamps and sends them to the ministry headquarters in Florida. By the end of July 2018, 1 million dollars had been raised since the stamp ministry started in 1972. By the end of October 2018, $34, 000 had been raised to purchase Sunday School material in 2018 alone.
Prayer Quilt Ministry
Quilts are made, then hung in the narthex for persons to tie a knot and say a prayer for the quilt recipient.
If you wish to request a quilt for someone in need of prayers, please complete the form on the table in the narthex and give it to Beth Crose, Kendra Newland or the church office. Please follow the guidelines of the Prayers and Squares Ministry – you must ask the person on the receiving end if he or she would like to have a Prayer Quilt. The person requesting the quilt it responsible for delivering or mailing the quilt.
The group would love to get more people involved in the making of the Prayer Quilts – if God is calling YOU, please contact Beth Crose or Kendra Newland.
